Angels in Aprons offer personal care and warm companionship for you, or your loved one residing in a retirement village, an aged care facility, or nursing home from as little as one hour to 24 hours.
It may be that family live a distance away, or have work and a family to care for. Angels in Aprons can stay overnight, cook meals in your own home, keeping you in an atmosphere that you are comfortable and familiar with, arrange or accompany you to and from hospital, doctors and specialist appointments, hairdresser, shopping, or maybe a special occasion. Play a weekly game of scrabble, read the newspaper aloud, assisting with everyday living activities and being there with a reassuring smile on our face, to give you confidence when taking your medication, (medical prompting) or just going out for a coffee and a chat, caring for a pet or watering the garden - whatever is important to you at this time...
Bedsitting
Sometimes it is nice to have someone just to talk with. Someone, who will sit by your bed and perhaps read to you, share experiences, laugh at a joke, or simply hold your hand. When family members are restricted by distance or time an Angel in an Apron can be called upon to be that "someone"
Transport
At Angels in Aprons, we know how important it is to have the independence to travel where and when you want, whether you're attending medical appointments or keeping connected with a busy social schedule.
For people who have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's Disease, or are unable to drive any longer because of failing eyesight or other health issues, many fear losing their licence will mean losing their independence. That's where Angels in Aprons transport services come in.
Relocating or Downsizing
Our Specialised team of Angels provide a full relocation service - packing, cleaning and arranging removal of all your belongings... This includes packaging of delicate and breakable items, disposal of furniture and any unwanted personal items such as clothing, towels, linen etc. We also offer a full pre sale or bond cleaning service.
